I'll start with an announcement: I am no longer able to attend the LSH
Chat Hour on a regular basis. These chat reports aren't dead, though. Either
someone will take them over from me, or someone will supply me with the chat
logs on a regular basis and I will continue to write the reports. Stay tuned.

Tom Peyer, Tom McCraw and Jeff Moy were the guests on America Online's LSH
Chat Hour on Tuesday, May 9, 1995. LSH Chat Hour is held every Tuesday at
6:00 p.m. EDT in the DC Comics Online Chat area. Previous guests have
included Mark Waid, Tom Peyer, Tom McCraw, Jeff Moy and KC Carlson.

DISCLAIMER - It's probably all incorrect. It was Klordny Week, and Tom Peyer
was passing around the bottle to everyone that's old enough to drink.

SPOILER ALERT - Spoiler material is presented at the end of this report
without prior warning. I've tried to put major Spoiler materials at the end
of the report. If you don't like what you're reading, bail out.

Tom Peyer had purchased S/LSH #232 over the weekend and wished everyone a
Happy Klordny week. Tom claimed to be doing the twist on an anti-grav
platform.

Tom McCraw had just finished coloring the Legionnaires annual, and agreed
with a comment that Jeff Moy had made on page 47--"Yippee I'm finally done!"

As far as Tom Peyer knows, R.E.B.E.L.S. is not being cancelled.

John Byrne and Curt Swan are doing a project together. It may be a Superman
story instead of a Legion story.

INPUT WANTED - The creators are still looking for a new name for Starfinger.
They've invited reader suggestions. (I suppose you should send your
suggestions to dcconl...@aol.com.)

Tom Peyer joked that the Legionnaires don't carry weapons because they've
feared weapons since their parents were killed in Crime Alley.

The personality of the mixed Triad is "sort of" like the merged Triad's
personality.

The creators have discussed having a homosexual or bisexual Legionnaire.
They haven't brought it into the books yet.

Tom McCraw admitted that Dr. Regulus was in poor form in his appearance
in Superboy #191. Tom Peyer suggested that it would be difficult to top
the Battle Boat appearance when they did bring Dr. Regulus back, but he d
id like the idea of necro-crystals from Superboy #191. Tom McCraw did note
that he thought I'd be happy with the story that introduced the postboot
version of Dr. Regulus--except for the fact that Chuck wasn't in the issue.
[ED - Necro-crystal replaced flowers at funerals in the 30th century.
The reason that Superboy #191 came up is that I had found it the same day
as the chat, and it was the last Legion story that I needed to have a full
set--not including Legion cameos. Now I'm working on replacing some of my
 reprints with originals.]

Rumors were dispelled in a game of "Fact or Rumor":

There's no truth to the rumor that someone other than Jo sent Tinya the
cactus.

Dirk won't be on profem when he shows up.

Fortress Lad isn't coming back.

There are some people more powerful than Wonder Woman in the 30th century.

XS won't be dead by L* #30.

Dev Em isn't returning--at least anytime soon.

Spark isn't sending the secret admirer notes to herself.

The line about not being able to track through hyperspace was not
foreshadowing a coming appearance. Dawnstar isn't showing up any time soon.

The injuries that Jo sustained in L* #26 were because Jo didn't shift powers7
fast enough, not because of a weakness to radiation. Tom McCraw was
intrigued by the radiation weakness, though, and intended to research it this
weekend. (Does anyone know issue numbers that portray the weakness?)

It's only a rumor that Lana Lang would appear as Insect Queen in the upcoming
Superboy/LSH crossover. Both Tom McCraw and Tom Peyer like the name, though.

The force shield belt will not be invented to protect Laurel from lead
poisoning.

Jo's invulnerability isn't always on as a default at this point.

Max Mercury is not the person who told the Tornado Twins about the Dominators
lab in the LSH annual.

Spider Girl will not be the first Work Force member to join the Legion.
(Described as "very, very unfactlike".)

Bismoll won't demand that Tenzil be admitted to the Legion, "but you never
know."

If Jo and Val leave Work Force, it won't be at the same time.

Work Force will not be receiving additional members soon.

The creators aren't bowing to reader pressure to have False Pretenses Lad
rejoin the team. (ED - False Pretenses Lad is the prisoner shown in one panel
of Adventure # 327 who had been sentenced for joining the Legion under false
pretenses. He was the subject of a Mark Waid trivia question several weeks
ago.)

Kinetix is not a revised Life Lass of Heroes of Lallor fame.

Other rumors were confirmed in the game:

Legionnaires will celebrate Klordny Fest if Tom Peyer has his way. Tom
McCraw noted that they were celebrating at that very moment.

Longtime readers will recognize the forces behind the White Triangle. There
is no more than one old villain behind the White Triangle.

Brainy's time travel appearance in Warrior is relevant.

Ultra Boy is dumping Spider Girl totally for Apparition, but it won't make
him happy.

Imra will recover before the Underworld crossover.

Fans will be allowed to vote for Legion leader.

Rumors that they couldn't comment on:

No comment on whether Brande's identity is different postboot.

No comment on whether Star Boy will join with Superboy powers and have a
different name.

No comment on whether any Amazons were still alive.

No comment on whether Live Wire will die before he gets a chance to rejoin
the Legion.

One "hard to say": It's hard to say if Valor will be joining the LSH as a
regular member when he arrives in the 30th century.

One "neither fact nor rumor but more like hallucination": Ayla is apparently
not going to die preventing an invasion by Zaryan the Khund.

And one "fact and rumor": It's both fact and rumor that Roxxas is behind the
White Triangle guys. (They refused further comment other than the question
above--it's only one old foe that's behind the group.)

Zoe will be getting powers again, but they may not be her powers. The star
in the LSH annual did not change her powers into new ones. They were
cagey about whether Zoe had any ties with the Emerald Eye. Tom Peyer
indicated that Zoe's symbol was a cresent moon and a Milk Dud.

Enjoy!
