Power of Shazam

(moved from main page)

Ummm... I just about get #43, since there's a one-panel flashforward cameo from Thunder in there, but why #41? The only even vaguely-Legion related thing in there is Impulse. And, for that matter, why v2? I wouldn't call a GN "v1" to an ongoing comic. And the indicia doesn't have a vol. 2 in it either... - Reboot (SoM) talk page 05:15, 6 February 2007 (PST)

Michael has #41 listed on his Anal retentive list, but I am also puzzled as to why. I listed it here before I owned it, but as of now I am not planning to upload the cover unless I figure out why its on his list. Might be a typo, in which case there might be another issue that has a reference I am not familiar with. Mr. Grabois, if you're listening, perhaps you can enlighten us?
As for the V2, since both GN and the series have the same name, I put in the V2 to distinguish. Since there is only one series per se, dropping the V2 works for me. --Gopher 09:12, 6 February 2007 (PST)
Beats me. Maybe it was supposed to be 44 instead? I don't have my copies handy, but Jim Drew's "Frunt" page [1] says that Thunder appears there too.
For the graphic novel, yes, since they have the same name, the series would be v2 since v1 is the one-shot. The fact that it's a GN is besides the point. -- Omnicom 17:05, 6 February 2007 (PST)
I'm going to consider #41 to be officially scratched off the list.
I haven't read the GN, but Overstreet lists it as the prequel to the Power of Shazam series. Same artist and writer, and there were never two #'1, as the GN was unnumbered. I'm leaning toward interpreting them as being of the same series, which would negate the need for V1/V2 numbering. (although Overstreet and several online sources list them as separate entries...) --Gopher 20:04, 6 February 2007 (PST)
