You Are Here: Earth
- Set "a year to the day" after Legion of Super-Heroes v4 #125.
Synopsis
M'Onel fights an upgraded Tharok in rapid decent towards Earth's surface. When he finally stops him in Metropolis, a small drone detaches and rockets away, but he stops it with a shot of freeze-breath, and Science Police arrive to contain Tharok.
Following a report on the fight, The Earth Spins interviews President Leland McCauley, who promises to make repairs, points out the rebuilding work on Earth since the Blight, and says that he has no regrets on disbanding the Legion "with honours" after the events of Widening Rifts. In response to a question on M'Onel, he says M'On is like a son to him.
M'Onel, watching, thinks how he hates it when McCauley lies. Shvaughn Erin then calls him to ask for help in the investigation into the "Tharok incursion", but a chance encounter with Kinetix once there depresses him over how lonely he feels. Shvaughn tells him he still has friends, one of whom is right in front of him, and to come and help like he promised.
What is causing problems is the now-defrosted drone, which M'Onel theorises Tharok was just a delivery vehicle for, on behalf of whoever upgraded him. It then infects the system, and then a Science Police officer, who starts babbling about "Robotica". M'Onel gets Shvaughn to purge the system at all costs, and then destroys the drone with his heat vision. The infected officer then drops dead.
M'Onel then goes to confront McCauley over the apparent downplaying of the Robotican menace. McCauley brushes him off, but his henchman Venge tells him M'Onel was right to be concerned. M'Onel then leaves to visit Legion Memorial Plaza for the anniversary of the loss of half the Legion in the Rift. There, he meets Triad, who had been running Brande Industries for the previous year.
After hugging, Triad starts telling M'Onel that she wants to talk to him about "the things that really matter." He feigns ignorance of what she means, and quickly flies off in response to an alert.
The alert turns out to be a Robotican advance scout. While fighting it, M'Onel thinks about his history as Valor, and whether Luornu was right to implicitly suggest revealing himself as the planet-seeder. He finally destroys it, and upon telling the controller to send the U.P. navy to contain the debris, he is informed of another deep-space incursion.
Thinking it's the prelude to a full-scale invasion, he is shocked and delighted when, instead, he sees the Legion Outpost come through a hole in space.

Synopsis
After leaving M'Onel, Triad returns to her apartment, where she watches the news, including profiles of Tharok, M'Onel and the Legion, but when they reach the Rift Disaster and McCauley's eulogy of the Legion starts, they start link-hopping, going through two pro-McCauley pieces, a piece on the Robotican threat and an apparent pandemic on Vyrga before giving up and switching to music.
With the three of her angry, tired and depressed respectively, Triad-Purple launches on a rant about McCauley, before Neutral stops her with a reminder that "The walls have ears." Purple retorts that McCauley knows how they feel about him and heads off to get ready for bed. Neutral spends a moment comforting Orange before following with a reminder to Orange that "I need our sleep". After Neutral has gone, the computer flags up an item that Luornu may find interesting - Orange plays it, and instantly yells for her sisters to come, screaming "THEY'RE BACK!" as the news reports that it appears that the Lost Legionnaires have returned.

The Legion found? LEGION WORLDS
In last year's fast-paced, shocking and twist-filled maxiseries, LEGION LOST, we followed eleven missing Legionnaires as they desperately struggled to find their way home. But what of the remaining Legionnaires who were not lost? What has happened in the year that has passed, and how will these other heroes react when they learn their missing teammates may not be dead after all?
The answers are found in LEGION WORLDS, a 6-issue miniseries written by the LEGION LOST writing team of Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning, and showcasing covers by the fan-favorite artist of PLANETARY, John Cassaday. Each issue of LEGION WORLDS is 48 pages (with ads) and leads with a 30-page story focusing on different Legion planets and team members, drawn by different artistic teams that include: Yvel Guichet (BATMAN: HARLEY QUINN) & Dexter Vines, Enrique Breccia (Heavy Metal), Paul Rivoche (BATMAN: BLACK & WHITE), Duncan Rouleau (ACTION COMICS), Kilian Plunkett (UNKNOWN SOLDIER), and Steve Dillon (PREACHER, Punisher) & Andy Lanning (WONDER WOMAN). Each issue also contains eight pages of backup material — either a short story or Legion Profile Pages — making LEGION WORLDS a perfect jump-on point for new readers looking for a crash course on the 30th century's greatest heroes. LEGION WORLDS also sets the stage for an ongoing Legion title set to debut later this year!
With LEGION WORLDS #1 — "Earth," illustrated by Guichet & Vines — we learn that the Legion has disbanded, and Leland McCauley is now the President of Earth and in control of a depleted United Planets. The Stargates, the interstellar mode of transportation, are now gone — and former Legionnaire M'Onel contemplates how it's affecting the rest of the galaxy. M'Onel encounters other Legionnaires, such as Kinetix and Triad, during the one-year anniversary of their comrades' disappearance — but as he battles an amped-up Tharok of the Fatal Five, several warning signs signal that a war between Earth and an invading robot-like race may be inevitable.
Future issues of LEGION WORLDS will focus on five other planets — Winath, Braal, Xanthu, Rimbor, plus a new planet called Steeple — and star a number of other Legionnaires such as Spark, Cosmic Boy, XS, Star Boy, Apparition, Karate Kid, Ferro, and many more favorites!
This project is supported with house and trade ads.
LEGION WORLDS is a 6-issue miniseries edited by Mike McAvennie. Issue #1 arrives in comic-book stores April 18. Each issue is 48-pages with a cover price of $3.95 U.S.
