Overview

The "Retroboot" era of the Legion of Super-Heroes began being published in 2007, with the Lightning Saga crossover between Justice League of America v2 #8-10 and Justice Society of America v3 #5-6, and became the dominant Legion in publication with Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds.

This Legion closely resembles the Pre-Crisis Legion, but differences exist primarily in details such as the role of Supergirl and some changes in characters.

As of September 2011, it segued relatively seamlessly into the Post-Flashpoint era, as part of DC Comics' general reboot. As with the earlier change from Pre-Crisis to Post-Crisis, most of the changes therein occurred not as a result of deliberate changes to the Legion, but as part of changes to present-day characters - particularly the heavy changes to Superman history, including the complete reboot of Supergirl.
