The Legion of Super Heroes cartoon aired in two seasons on the CW Network (in the US), 2006-2007 and 2007-2008. In the first season of the series, a number of Legionnaires traveled back in time to recruit Superman to help them in their time, his future. Unfortunately they went back too far and got Clark Kent before he became Superman, before he mastered his powers and moved to Metropolis. In the 31st Century, the Legion taught Clark to use his powers and Clark taught the Legion how to be heroes. In the second season, which took place after a gap of about two years, Superman returns and is more confident of his powers, and shares time with his 41st century descendant who has traveled back in time to fight a great villain.
