Me, Myself and I

Synopsis

Several Legionnaires search the streets of Metropolis trying to find the racists who assaulted Triad's "neutral" body. They find a warehouse with the same White Triangle symbol that the thugs had marked Triad's body with, and Shrinking Violet mentally connects it to the thugs which had attacked a person outside of a nightclub, who Andromeda had said she'd taken care of. Elsewhere, in a hospital, Triad's "orange" body looks sadly at her battered "neutral" body and reluctantly explains to Brainiac 5 that she is a freak amongst Carggites, as her three bodies have distinct personalities, unlike most Carggites, whose three bodies have the same personality. She describes how this caused her father to leave her, caused her to be thrown out of school, and caused her mother to drink herself to death. She tells him how after her mother's death, her grandmother took over her care and encouraged her personality differences. When her grandmother died, she revealed to her that her three bodies had different personalities as well, and that other Carggites are wrong for persecuting people like them.

After "orange" Triad finishes telling Brainiac 5 all this, "purple" Triad walks in with other Legionnaires and Brainiac 5 tells the two conscious Triad bodies that they will hae to reintegrate in order to recover. After an attempt to do so fails, the two Triads tell Saturn Girl about how the Carggite government had put her in a mental institution after her grandmother had died and how she hated it so much she ran away, making her way to the cruiser of R.J. Brande, who took her on as an executive assistant before finding out about her past. As the two conscious Triad bodies are led into the room with their third body to attempt reintegration once more, Saturn Girl finds out from Brande that when he heard about how the Carggites had treated Triad, he used his economic clout to force them to make him her legal guardian.

In the unconscious Triad's room, Brainiac 5 tells the two conscious Triads that he will briefly induce consciousness in her injured "neutral" body and that she would have to reintegrate in that short time. The two conscious Triad bodies reintegrate into one so that the "orange" body's timidity does not stop her from reintegrating, and Brainiac 5 then performs the procedure.

Later, outside, Brainiac 5 reports that the procedure was a success and that Triad should fully recover, and Brande vows revenge on the parties responsible for the beating as Shrinking Violet thinks about the connections she made between the thugs at the dance club and Triad's attackers.
