Val Armorr has never known his parents. He was raised by various martial arts teachers who trained him since his birth. He has taught the other members of the Legion of Super-Heroes various self-defence techniques. He's also training Ultra Boy how to better control his powers. He has dated Shadow Lass, but they broke up. However, they seem to be quite good friends anyway.
