2995: The Legion of Super-Heroes Sourcebook (ISBN 0-923763-64-3) was published in 1992 by Mayfair Games, Inc. The book was written by Tom Bierbaum and Mary Bierbaum, who were writing the regular Legion of Super-Heroes comic book at the time. Since a large portion of the material in this book appeared only in the book and not in the comics themselves, much of what is written inside has been considered near-canon by fans (but cannot be considered truly canonical).
The information in the book itself is not presented like a traditional RPG sourcebook, aside from the power and ability statistical information.
