The Legion Academy was a short-lived body based on Warnabros, created as an extension of President Chu's Legion Draft to allow "second-tier" worlds who couldn't have a full Legion of Super-Heroes member to have some connection with the team.
The exact time and circumstances of its' closure are unknown, although the two most obvious points are Chu declaring the Legion membership closed (although Xanthu was permitted to replace their deceased member after this, and Vgyra, having finally managed to corral Gates, were able to belatedly place him on the team), and the Legion becoming an independent UP body after R.J. Brande was installed as president.
The only known Academy member to attempt to gain Legion membership after its' closure was Cannus, who reached the final of the tryouts before being rejected.
The Legion Academy should not be confused with the Legion Cadets program, instituted on Legion World during Kid Quantum's tenure as Legion leader.
